Schuitmaker, R-Lawton, earned a 0% grade for her voting record on the 2013-2014 Michigan Environmental Scorecard issued recently by the Michigan League of Conservation Voters.

State Senate candidate Jim Walters of Lawton will meet with citizens of the newly redistricted 26th district Saturday (April 26) at the county seats of Allegan and Van Buren counties, the two counties making up the largest portion of the district. The public is invited.
Walters will outline his positions, and welcome questions, on major state legislation dealing with jobs, education, women's and family rights, raising the minimum wage and safeguarding Michigan's natural resources, among other issues.
